Mechanical steering gear
The adjustment is made in the following order:

- Set the wheels in position "straight forward" and tighten the self-locking adjustment screw about 20 ?� (Fig. 11.20); - Check the car in motion; - If the heavy steering and the steering wheel is not returned to the center position after cornering a bit to loosen the adjusting screw; - If after adjusting the steering wheel returns to the center position, but there is still a gap in the steering slightly tighten the adjusting screw; - If all the operations do not provide a satisfactory adjustment of the steering - a sign of deterioration of the steering transmission, and it must be replaced.
