Removing the pump



Before replacing the pump, check the power supply to the pump and the pressure in the power steering system.
The pump unit is not maintainable in case of a failure should be replaced.
Removal in the following order:
- Drain the system;

- Disconnect the pressure hose 9 (Fig. 11.24) from the pump 8;
- Loosen the bolts of the pump and turn the pump so that the belt 12 can be removed from the pulley 11;
- Completely unscrew the bolts and remove the pump;
- To remove the fluid reservoir, unscrew the retaining clip on top of the tank and pulling up, remove the tank.
