Checking the oil in a mechanical transmission

Oil in a mechanical box should not be changed.

To loosen the oil filler plug screw must use a key with a face head HAZET 2567-16 or VW 3357.

For topping up is necessary to use oil G052 SAE 75W90.
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Place the vehicle on a lift in a horizontal position.
2. Remove the bottom mudguard of the engine.
3. Using key VW 3357, unscrew the oil filler plug of the gearbox, which is located in front of the left drive shaft.
4. Check the oil level. The oil level is correct when it is at the lower edge of the threaded hole.
5. If necessary, add oil through the oil-filling hole.
6. Tighten the oil filler plug and tighten it to 25 Nm.
A warning

Gearbox housing may be made of aluminum or magnesium alloy. If the new threaded oil filler plug, it must be matched to the number for the corresponding transmission as stoppers have a different cover. If you use an inappropriate stopper, there can be a contact corrosion.
