Draining water from the fuel filter (diesel engines)

The fuel filter is located to the left in the engine compartment of the generator. Access to the fuel filter is difficult.

Location clamps (A) and mounting bolts (B) fuel hoses

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish under the fuel filter the corresponding container.
2. To ensure the supply of air to the system power supply, loosen the clamp (A), and unscrew the bolt (B) securing the hose. See Fig. Location clamps (A) and mounting bolts (B) of the fuel hoses.
3. Remove the top of the filter for removing air bolt and loosen the bottom of the drain plug and drain off the liquid fluid (about 100 cm 3) until the clean fuel. To deliberate overflow is possible to plug the hose to wear.
A warning

Do not pour the entire contents of the fuel filter.

4. Screw the top of the filter for removing air bolt and the bottom of the tube.
A warning

After draining the water from the fuel filter does not require venting of the fuel system.

5. To close the air intake to the supply system, tighten the clamp (A), and screw the bolt (B) securing the hose to the bracket. See Fig. Location clamps (A) and mounting bolts (B) of the fuel hoses.
6. Remove the air from the fuel system will happen automatically when the engine is started. After a few taps on the accelerator pedal, fuel without vials should flow on the transparent pipeline to the high pressure fuel pump.
7. Visually check the fuel system for leaks, especially at the joints of the fuel filter.
