Checking the liquid level in the steering amplifier



Location fluid reservoir to the power steering


Probe for measuring the level of liquid in the steering amplifier


The liquid level in the power steering can be tested in a cold or heated during operation ("50 ?� C). Instructs to scan the fluid level in the power steering in the cold state.

By car, which has not been used, with the engine off, set the front wheels for movement directly forward.
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the cover from the power steering fluid reservoir.
2. Clean cloth, wipe the dipstick located on the bottom of the cover.
3. Screw and then unscrew the cap.
4. Check the level of liquid which should be around labels MIN (see. Fig. Probe for measuring the level of fluid in the power steering). The tolerance level of the fluid on the dipstick from label MIN ?� 2 mm.
If necessary, add a fresh liquid.
Do not let the state in which the power steering reservoir will be empty.
5. Screw the lid on the tank of the amplifier of a steering.
6. Take control trip at which the power steering fluid warms up to a temperature of about 50 ?� C. Check the fluid level, which should be between labels MIN and MAX.
