Repair of brake drums



When repairing the brake drums can be ground, but only up to the diameter specified in the annex (see. "Technical specifications"). It should be known that the drums need not be oval, as otherwise there is no reliable fit thereto brake pad.

In the drum brake of a vehicle with ABS toothed ring located on the inner side of the drum. To remove the ring gear under it is necessary to sum as shown in Fig. 307, two large screwdriver and press out his sharp while pressing the screwdriver handle. The ring gear may remain on the drum, if it can not be replaced.
