Bearings rear wheel hub
Bearings rear hub after their replacement must be adjusted to ensure a normal play. For replacement and adjustment of bearings, proceed as follows: - Loosen the wheel nuts and set the vehicle on a support;

- Remove the wheel and the cover 1 (Fig. 284) of the hub, covering the cavity for lubrication. According to the instructions, use the special tool shown in Fig. 285, the cover can be carefully pry the screwdriver alternately working with the left and right side;

- Remove the pin from the slot nut and remove it; - Unscrew the adjusting nut and remove the washer; - Remove the brake drum. When the drum jam it must be separated from the brake pad in accordance with the instructions, see. Sec. "Brake system". This separates the outer bearing. In the car with ABS ring gear wheel speed sensor is located on the inside of the drum, it must be protected from damage; - Set the brake drum in a vise, insert the front of the mandrel and knock the rear bearing and collar. Knock on opposite sides of the drum, both bearing rings. If the ring gear of ABS, then be careful not to damage it; - Press in new rings and fill the new bearings with grease; - To establish the internal bearing and gently press in flush cuff. Remove all appeared under the pressure of grease. - Replace the brake drum. Be sure to carefully wipe off all traces of grease. - Adjust bearing play are as follows; - Tighten the nut by turning the drum in different directions. This is necessary in order to ensure the installation of the bearings. Then again, loosen the nut. - Re-tighten the nut so that the washer under the nut barely moved alternately in one and the other side as shown in Fig. 286. In this position, set a new lock nut and cotter pin. If the pin does not fit into the hole, then tighten the nut can be a little while yet to move the puck (see. Fig. 286).
