Fig. 319 shows a detail of fastening generator.
To remove the generator, proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the negative lead from the battery;
- Disconnect the connector on the back cover of the generator. Disconnect the disconnected clamp;
- Loosen the belt tensioning device, as described in Section. 4.3.3, and loosen both the alternator mounting bolts;
- Press the generator inside and remove the belt;
- Remove the bolt at the bottom of the generator and remove the generator.
Installation of the generator is carried out in reverse order. You need to insert the belt in the groove of the pulley and squeeze out the generator. Hold generator in this position, slightly tighten bolts. Adjust the tension of the alternator drive belt (see. Sect. 4.3.3).
