Removing and installing engine






Engine lift with the gearbox and is removed from the vehicle. Thereafter, the transmission can be disconnected from the motor. To perform this work, it is better to use the lift, but you can take out the power unit and two.
Before you start dismantling the engine, perform the following steps:
- Remove the spring clips of the cooling system hoses. At the service station for this purpose, a special mandrel (VAG 1921). Otherwise clamps have to cut and install the mounting clamps;
- Used for removal of the engine and gearbox lifting beams;
- Buy a torque wrench (with a limit of measuring up to 80 Nm);
- To replace the cut wiring harness to the new;
- Remember the radio security code, if the vehicle is equipped with them so that you can turn on the radio again after connecting the battery. The same applies to the clock.
