Support repair



Before carrying out any work on the repair of a support is necessary to pay attention to the following:
- Always replace the O-rings for the repair. They are in a repair kit;
- Never use pistons or cylinders, the working surfaces of which are worn, scratched or covered with oxide. They should always install cylinder kit;
- Use only the brake fluid, which is recommended by the manufacturer, and never use a liquid stored for a long time;
- When installing the pistons and lubricate the O-rings (cuffs) clean brake fluid;
- Clamp the cylinder in a vice and remove the screwdriver has a dust ring and the piston;

- To set a piece of wood in front of the piston and the piston with compressed air to squeeze out of the hole. Wooden block set according to Fig. 294. Compressed air is supplied at the place indicated by the arrow;

Extract with a screwdriver from the sealing ring grooves in the cylinder bore caliper

- Using a screwdriver to carefully remove the sealing ring from the aperture in the cylinder, as shown in Fig. 295;
- Thoroughly clean all parts and if the cylinder is in good condition, use the repair kit parts during assembly;
- Set in the groove of a new O-ring lubricated with brake fluid;
- Install the dust ring on the outer edge of the working piston and lubricate the surface of the piston with brake fluid;

- Set the piston in the cylinder, using a screwdriver as shown in Fig. 296, carefully make the inner lip of the dust ring into the groove of the cylinder;
- Establish a clamp as shown in Fig. 297, and slowly move in a threaded hole in the piston
