Checking crankshaft
Check the crankshaft, follow these steps: - Inspect the crankshaft. Cracks anywhere crankshaft are not allowed. On the surfaces of mating with the sealing lip are not allowed scratches, nicks and risks; - Make accurate measurements of the necks of the main and connecting rod bearings. When repairing pereshlifovyvat can be up to three times with decreasing diameter. After that set repair inserts increased thickness; - Hold the crankshaft between the holders of a lathe (or set the extreme radical neck two prisms) and check indicator runout on average radical neck support. Run-out shall not exceed 0.06 mm, otherwise it is necessary to replace the shaft; - Measure the gaps in the main and connecting rod bearings, for which:

- Thoroughly clean the working surfaces of the inserts and the corresponding segment of the cervix and place the plastic wires on the surface of the cervix (Fig. 83); - Set on the neck of a rod with a lid or cover of the radical bearing, depending on the type of audited neck and tighten the nuts or bolts. Nuts rod bolt tightening torque of 30 Nm and bolts of covers of radical bearings the moment of 30 Nm;

- Remove the lid and on the scale of the measuring range, the supplied Plastigage by flattening, in its widest plastic wire (Fig. 84), determine the magnitude of the gap; - If the gap is less than the limit, these inserts can be used again. If the gap is greater than 0.1 mm, replace the pads on the necks of these new ones. If the crankshaft journals are worn out and polished to repair size, then inserts replace repair (increased thickness).
