Oil seal camshaft
| Fig. 437. Remove the sealing ring of a camshaft with a special puller

Gland camshaft can be replaced by the engine installed, if it had been seen near the oil traces. Gland located behind the camshaft pulley. To prevent damage to the cylinder head or the camshaft requires a special tool for removal of the gland (Fig. 437). Cam clings between the sealing lip and camshaft under the gland, so the gland can be weakened and dragged under the influence of the lever. Gland may also be removed by means of oblique arm. In order to gain access to the camshaft, remove the toothed belt, as described in Sec. 17.4.1.
| Fig. 438. Beat the gear of the camshaft by inserting the mandrel back and briefly hitting it with a plastic or rubber hammer back
|
Lock stationary camshaft gear (for example, using the old toothed belt wrapped round the toothed wheels, or inserted into one of the holes of the gear of the mandrel) and unscrew screw gear. Remove the bolt and washer. Beat gear, inserting the rear holder, as shown in Fig. 438. Using tongs, remove the woodruff key from the camshaft. Described method, remove the gland.
