Refitting
To remove the pump, follow the steps: - Remove the air filter; - Remove the upper toothed belt protection; - Remove the cylinder head cover; - Set the engine to TDC. To do this, remove the cylinder head cover and unscrew the cap at the top of the gearbox, so you can see the marks on the flywheel;
| Fig. 415. The upper figure shows the mounted on the camshaft adjustment gauge 1. The figure below shows how to be located flywheel TDC
- Turn the crankshaft (using the keys worn by a pulley bolt) so that the mark on the flywheel was in the position shown in Fig. 415. - Set the adjusting gauge for the camshaft and remove the V-ribbed belt, as described in Sec. 17.4.1. Remove the guide roller; - Loosen the nut of the gear pump, but do not remove it completely;

- Remove the pinion with a special puller 3032. To do this, a stripper on the gear (Fig. 474). Tighten the middle bolt puller so that the puller has been pressed against the surface of the gear, and then remove the gear striking a plastic or rubber hammer on the end of the middle bolt; - Remove the puller, remove the nut from the shaft end and remove the gear; - Remove all the fuel from the fuel pump; - Disconnect plug connector valve of a stopping delivery of fuel; - Disconnect the cable controlling the supply of fuel; - Mark the exact position of the high pressure pump, then set it to the original position. On the pump flanges and mounting brackets apply risks that must be matched again when you reinstall the pump;

- Guided Fig. 475, remove the three bolts on the flange of the fuel injection pump and remove the single screw on the back of the support (Fig. 476). Remove the fuel pump. Pump can not be repaired. Faulty fuel pump must either replace or pay for repairs to the service station. To install the pump: - Set the pump to the bracket, align it in accordance with the put labels and tighten the flare nut (see. Fig. 476). - Check that all the previously applied tag match and tighten the bolts evenly in a circle torque 25 Nm; - Check that the wedge on the shaft of the high pressure pump, and gently slide the gear onto the shaft. Tighten the nut torque of 55 Nm; - Tighten union nuts fuel to 25 Nm; - Rotate the gear pump so that the mark on the gear and the bracket are aligned. Fix the gear pump in this position by inserting retainer 2064 (see. P. 200);

- Loosen the bolt of a cogwheel of a camshaft on a half-turn and knock the gear plastic or rubber hammer. You can insert a mandrel (Fig. 477) and striking it with a plastic or rubber hammer. Toothed wheel of a camshaft is thus also shifted; - Check that the engine in TDC; - Set the toothed belt as described in Sec. 17.4.2. Spend the rest of the work described in this section. Tension the V-ribbed belt and the belt drive power steering (see. The relevant sections). - Check the service station injection timing.
