Removal and installation of the distributor of ignition

Removing the distributor of ignition sequence is as follows:
- Remove the ignition distributor;
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the Hall sensor ignition distributor. Why, squeeze the spring clamp and pull out the plug connector;
- Turn the engine up until the first cylinder is in TDC rise of the compression stroke:

TDC engine

- With the engine mounted on the car, mark "0" (Fig. 219, A) on the flywheel should be aligned with the edge of the "window" in the flywheel housing;
- In the groove on the removed engine vibration dampers must coincide with the arrow on the protective cover of the drive belt (see.

- Set the slider to the distributor of ignition in the position shown (Fig. 221), before it is removed. Mark the top of the slider and the edge of the body of the distributor of ignition, scribbling risks;
- Wear on the bolt head Shaft damper to crank the engine.
- Remove the bolt and clamping rail distributor of ignition;
- Remove the ignition distributor from the engine.
Installation of the distributor of ignition is carried out in reverse order.
If the engine after removing distributor of ignition cranking, do the following:
- With the engine mounted on the vehicle:
- Set the first cylinder to TDC in the compression stroke, that is, Both valves have to be closed (when the cover is removed the cylinder head), or crank the engine up until a label "0" (see. Fig. 219 a) at the flywheel will not be on the same line with the edge of the "window" in the flywheel housing ;
- The engine removed from the car:
- Rotate the engine up until the groove on the vibration damper does not coincide with the arrow on the guard driving belt (see. Fig. 219, B), with an adjusting groove on the outer side of the gear of the camshaft must lie opposite TDC situated on an inner metal wall (see. Fig. 220);

Alignment pins receiving oil pump shaft before installing the ignition distributor. The axis of the stud is parallel to the axis of the crankshaft
Fig. 222. Alignment pins receiving oil pump shaft before installing the ignition distributor. The axis of the stud is parallel to the axis of the crankshaft

- Check the position of the landing of the oil pump shaft neck. The axis of the stud (Fig. 222) to be held parallel to the axis of the crankshaft. If necessary, the shaft journal can be aligned by means of pliers;
- Align Rotor, distributor for risks previously applied to the runner and on the edge of the distributor of ignition housing (see. Fig. 221);
- In this position, slide the slider to the ignition distributor and secure it with clamps;

Setting the ignition distributor
Fig. 223. Setting the ignition distributor

- Align the distributor (Fig. 223, is shown by the arrow) and place it on the engine;
- Connect the three-pin plug connector ignition distributor;
- Adjust the ignition timing (see. Sect. 8.4), by turning the ignition timing case.
We suggest you contact the service station to carry out an accurate check and adjust the ignition timing, which is carried out using a special tool.
