Actions of intensive use of brakes

When driving in hilly terrain brakes are subjected to extremely high loads, even if the brakes are used infrequently. Since the speed of the car is also quite often very low, the brakes are not cooled sufficiently, as would be the case when driving on flat roads. In order not to expose to excessive brake voltage should always include a lower gear, downhill, using engine braking. On vehicles with automatic transmission is necessary to establish the position of 4, 3, or possibly, L. This will allow more efficient use to slow the motor and the brake pedal will be required to use only occasionally. We should not forget that if you tow a trailer, the brakes are subjected to more stress than normal driving.
