Removing and installing the generator at the four-cylinder diesel TDI engine with unit injectors

Remove the pointer (probe) 1 (Fig. 18.16) oil level of the guide tube. Loosen the clamp on the lid. Remove the nuts and remove the engine cover. Move the pointer (probe) oil level in the guide tube.

Allen wrench, turn counterclockwise V-belt tension mechanism, resulting in a release the tension and remove the belt from the generator (Fig. 18.17). Loosen the belt tensioner.

Hold down the key from the crank pulley 3212 radiator fan with viscous coupling, 1 socket wrench 8 mm (Fig. 18.18) remove the pulley from the bracket. Remove the radiator fan with viscous coupling.

Remove the nut and disconnect the wire from terminal 1 (see. Fig. 18.14) generator. Disconnect the electrical connector from the generator 2. Take away from the generator lines and hoses.

Setting Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following. Check the location of the V-ribbed belt on pulleys. Tighten the generator torque 25 Nm. Tighten the pulley bolt to the radiator fan bearings the moment of 45 Nm. Tighten the screws fixing the wires to the terminal "30 / B +?� 16 N ?� m, to the terminal ?�D +?� - 4 N ?� m.
