Check hoses and connections of the cooling system

1. Open the hood and inspect the engine compartment. When viewed from the engine note the presence of coolant in the expansion tank, on the integrity of rubber hoses, radiator ...
2. ... and the cover of the thermostat.

HELPFUL ADVICE
The bursting of the hose can be temporarily restored with adhesive tape.
Particularly well suited for this purpose reinforced adhesive tape (eg, silver), which can be purchased in the automobile.

If leakage of the coolant from the thermostat cover, tighten bolts of its fastening. When tightening the screws to eliminate the leak failed, it is necessary to remove the cover, clean the sealing surfaces and install on sealer.
3. Inspect the connection of the supply hose to the radiator ...
4. ... and with a cover of the thermostat ...
5. ... discharge hose connection with pipe radiator ...
6. ... and the water distribution pipe.
7. Inspect the hose connections for the cooling system with heat exchanger pipes ...
8. ... a supply ...
9. ... and outlet fittings of the throttle assembly. In the case of leakage of coolant, replace the hose clip.

HELPFUL HINTS
The surge tank cap has two valves: inlet and outlet. Exhaust valve plays an important role in ensuring optimum temperature of the engine. It maintains the system overpressure less 0.13-0.15 MPa (1.3-1.5 kg / cm 2), providing a temperature increase start boiling and coolant vapor formation preventing intensive. Unfortunately, when jamming of the valve in the closed position when there is a significant excess of overheating overpressure - greater than 0.15 MPa (1.5 kgf / cm 2), which may lead to rupture of the expansion tank or breakdown of one of the hoses. In turn, the jamming of the valve in the open position causes premature boiling of the coolant.
Therefore, once a year wash the surge tank cap with running water, and there is no check valve sticking by pressing a thin screwdriver. If in doubt, replace the plug.
