Removing and installing engine and gearbox



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the reverse gear switch and the engine wiring harness.
4. On vehicles with manual five-speed gearbox, disconnect the electrical connector from the control valve selection.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the generator and the oil pressure sensor.
6. Drain the coolant.
7. On vehicles with automatic transmission disconnect hoses gearbox oil cooler.

A warning

Label the hose before removing to avoid confusion when re-joining.
Be careful to avoid transmission fluid drained from the hoses. To eliminate the dirt close the ends of the hose plugs.


8. Remove the upper and lower hoses from the radiator and remove the radiator.
9. Disconnect the motor wire connection with "weight".
10. Disconnect the vacuum hose of the vacuum brake booster.
11. Disconnect hoses from the engine and fuel return.

A warning

Gasoline is extremely flammable, when working with elements of the fuel system is forbidden the use of fire, sparking devices open by fire-dangerous light devices and smoking. Avoid sparking when handling cables and electrical devices.


12. Remove the coolant hoses going to a heater.
13. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the engine.
14. On vehicles with manual five-speed transmission disconnect clutch cable from the transmission housing.
15. On vehicles with automatic transmission disconnect a cable transmission control.
16. Disconnect from a transmission cable of a drive of a speedometer.
17. Remove the bracket from the compressor air conditioning system.
18. Raise the vehicle.
19. Drain the oil from the gearbox.
20. Remove the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.

A warning

Soft wire fix the exhaust pipe to the vehicle floor.


21. On vehicles with manual five-speed transmission disconnect traction gear selection.
22. Remove the bolts of the lower arm ball joint and stabilizer bar to the lower arm.
23. pry pry internal hinges of power shafts from a transmission.

To eliminate the dirt plugs close the holes in the gearbox.

When reinstalling the drive shafts install new retaining rings.
24. A soft wire fix lower arms and drive shafts on the body.
25. Secure the clamps lifting mechanism for the eye and lift the engine so that the engine weight was perceived by the load-lifting mechanism.
26. Remove the front engine support.
27. Remove the rear engine mounting.
28. On vehicles with manual five-speed gearbox, remove gearbox support.
29. Remove the bolts the motor mount.
30. Remove the engine support arm.
31. Slowly raise the engine so that he walked away from poles and temporarily hold it in this position.

A warning

Check that the engine and disconnect the electrical connectors, hoses, pipes and wiring harnesses.


32. Remove the bracket bolts the gearbox to the right wing.
33. Remove the left mounting bolt support.
34. By tilting the gearbox down, lift and remove the engine together with a transmission from the car.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Set the engine and gearbox to the car, making sure that there are clear or damaged hoses, wiring harnesses, pipes and electrical connectors.
2. After installing the engine to temporarily fix the front support.
3. After installing the engine and gearbox for all the support, tighten mounting bolts the demanded moment.
4. Reconnect all previously disconnected elements, thus, be careful to ensure they are correctly and firmly attached.
5. Reconnect all previously disconnected elements, thus, be careful to ensure they are correctly and firmly attached.
6. Inspect levels and, if necessary, add all liquids.
7. Check the operation of the shift rod and the accelerator cable.
8. Check the operation of all the indexes.
