The main brake cylinder

1 - a pressure regulator;
2 - the master cylinder;
3 - a stopper;
4 - expansion tank;
5 - a lock ring;
6 - the primary piston;
7 - secondary piston;
8 - a nut, 8-12 N ??? m.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fluid level switch.
2. Disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder and close the opened holes suitable stoppers.

A warning

The brake liquid dissolves a paint, plastic and wire insulation, so if you accidentally hit fluid on the paintwork of the car or its components wash with plenty of water.

3. Remove the bracket of the pressure regulator and remove the brake master cylinder. Remove the nuts securing the master brake cylinder.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the plug and drain the brake fluid reservoir.
2. Remove the tank from the main brake cylinder.

A warning

If necessary, secure the brake master cylinder in a vise, clamping its main body, and not the flange.

3. Remove the primary and secondary pistons of the master cylinder body.

A warning

Be careful not to damage the bore diameter of the master cylinder.
Do not disassemble the primary and secondary pistons.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the inner surface of the brake master cylinder body for rust and development.
2. Check the primary and secondary pistons for rust, scoring or wear.
3. Check the primary and secondary pistons in the absence of deterioration in their condition.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Coat the recommended brake fluid inside the master cylinder surface and the outer surface of the primary and secondary pistons.

Recommended brake fluid: DOT3

2. Gently insert the spring and the secondary piston in the master cylinder bore.
3. Gently slide the primary piston through the hole of the main brake cylinder.
4. Click on the primary piston and install the retaining ring into the groove diameter of the bore of the master cylinder.
5. Install the plug on the reservoir.
6. Grease two O-rings (inside and outside) with brake fluid and insert them into the body of the master cylinder.

A warning

Each time the tank is necessary to replace the replacement sealing rings.

7. Firmly insert the O-rings in the tank of the main brake cylinder.
8. Connect the electrical connector to the brake fluid level.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the brake master cylinder to the brake servo and screw the two nuts. Tighten the two nuts securing the master cylinder.

Torque: 8-12 N ??? m

2. Connect the two brake lines and the electrical connector to the brake fluid level.

Tightening torque tubes: 13-17 N ??? m

3. Fill with brake fluid and bleed the hydraulic circuit brake system.
