Device combination

Refitting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal
  1. Unscrew the instrument cluster.
  2. Remove the ashtray, then remove the screws fixing the instrument cluster.
  1. Disconnect the connectors from the instrument cluster. Remove the instrument cluster.
  1. Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.

Check speedometer

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Adjust tire pressure.
  2. Place the vehicle on the stand to check the speedometer and place wedges under the rear wheels.
  3. Check whether the speedometer within the tolerance given in the technical data.

When checking the speedometer suddenly do not press the clutch pedal rapidly and do not increase / decrease speed.

Tire wear and improper tire pressure leads to an increase in the error rate measurement.

Tachometer

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Connect the test tachometer.
  2. Start the engine. Compare the speedometer of the car with the test tachometer readings. If the difference between the readings exceed the allowable value, replace tachometer.

  1. Reversing the tachometer will damage semiconductor devices inside the tachometer.
  2. When removing and installing the tachometer be careful not to drop or hit it.

The fuel gauge

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn on the ignition.
  1. Connect the lamp power of 3.4 W and an operating voltage of 12 V to terminals 1 and 3.
  1. Turn on the ignition and check that the indicator lamp is lit in the full glow and arrow pointer indicates a full tank.

Check resistance

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the instrument cluster.
  2. Connect the variable resistor to the terminals 11 (M09-1) and 13 (M09-1). Ensure that the pointer indicates the fuel level in accordance with a change in resistance. Otherwise, replace the fuel gauge.

Fuel Level Sensor

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 3 in each position of the float.

  1. Also make sure that when the float is moved from position ?E? to position ?F? resistance changes smoothly.

Temperature Gauge

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 2 and "weight".
  1. If the resistance is not as given in the table, replace the temperature gauge.

Oil pressure sensor

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Make sure that the engine is switched off has a conductivity between the contact sensor and the "weight".
  1. Make sure the engine is running there is no conductivity between the contact sensor and the "weight".
  2. Otherwise, replace the oil pressure switch.
