Multifunction switch



Refitting

When removing the multi-function switch on vehicles equipped with an air bag, be careful and follow the following conditions.

  1. Do not disassemble any of the components of the auxiliary system of safety SRS. Dismantling components can bring security system failed.
  2. Avoid getting to the airbag solvents or cleaning agents.
  3. Transport safety air cushion alone bag up.
  4. If any component of the SRS or fell on it there are cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace them with new ones.
  5. When transporting, do not place your hands on the airbag.
  6. Do not heat the airbag unit to temperatures above 93 ?� C.
  7. Once deployed, the airbag coil spring, replace with a new sensor.
  8. Before installing the coil spring airbag sensor align the label and index the neutral position of the spring probe, after setting the front wheels for movement directly forward. If the label of the coil spring is not properly aligned, the steering wheel will be unable to turn or wire coil spring is damaged, hampering the normal operation of SRS.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the driver airbag.
  1. Remove the steering wheel.
  1. Remove the screws and remove the upper and lower casings of a steering column.
  2. Remove the screws and remove the multi-selector.
  1. Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.

Check

With multi-function switch in each position, check for continuity between the appropriate pins. If the conductivity does not correspond demanded, replace the multifunction switch.
