Check brake pedal free travel

With the engine off, press several times on the brake pedal to reduce the negative pressure in the brake servo.

Then slowly press the brake pedal by hand until resistance is felt. Thus define free stroke of the brake pedal. It must be within the limits specified in Figure 1.175.
