Checking and replacing fuses

Replacing the fuse
In case of overload the circuit fuse blows, thus preventing damage to the entire harness. (This may be caused by a short circuit or current excessive force). To facilitate the checking of their fuses are located in the relay.

Replacing the fuse
Fig. 1.178. Replacing the fuse

ATTENTION
When replacing a fuse, only use a new fuse-link with the same or a lower value of the nominal current. Do not use wire or fuse-link with a higher rated current. This can lead to serious damage and cause a fire.

Fuse

Fuse protecting lighting circuits and other electrical equipment located under the dashboard opposite the driver's seat (Fig. 1.179).
Inside the unit is a table protected circuits.

Puller Fuse
Fig. 1.180. Puller Fuse

If any of the lamps on the car or the electric stopped working, the reason for this may be a blown fuse. If the fuse blows, the metal strip inside it breaks. To replace the fuse predohranietel, open the fuse box and check the integrity of each fuse. Remove each fuse by pulling it toward you (to facilitate this operation there is a special fuse puller) (Fig. 1.180).
Replace the fuse with a new one with the same rated current. The fuse must be securely inserted.
If there is no spare fuse, you can temporarily install a fuse with the same rated current, removing it from the chain of equipment, without which you can temporarily do (for example, the fuse which protects the circuit radio or cigarette lighter). Do not forget to insert the fuse back shot.

Example of normal and blown fuse

ATTENTION
Blown fuse indicates a fault in an electrical circuit. If you recently installed a short time fuse blows again, you should contact the experts to identify the cause of the problem and fix it. Never install a fuse with a rated current greater than the set technical requirements, as well as any substitute fuses. This can lead to overheating of electrical wiring and cause a fire.
