The ancillary drive
Inspection and drive Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical damage. It accepts up to 15 cracks at the edge of the belt 100 mm. If the cracks over the allowed limit or detect the absence of any fragments of the belt, install new belt mounted units.
ATTENTION Do not lubricate the ancillary drive belt and its tensioner pulley or intermediate (s), as This can damage the structure of the material of the belt drive mechanism damping tensioner belt tensioner pulley bearings and intermediate bearings of the pulley (s). |
Small scattered deposits of crumb rubber does not indicate malfunction of the belt, and therefore new ancillary drive belt should not be installed. Extensive deposits of crumb rubber, occupying 50% of the height of the rib belt mounted units, also did not indicate a problem, but it may be the cause of increased noise. If increased noise is present, install a new ancillary drive belt. Large deposits of rubber crumbs along the grooves indicate a problem, it can be the cause of increased noise and disturbance stability of the belt. If large deposits or excessive noise belt obvious, install a new ancillary drive belt. Check the belt for cracks. If the magnitude of the damage exceeds the limit, set a new ancillary drive belt.

Check the belt for damage. If there are no large pieces of the belt, install new drive belt mounted units (Fig. 2.13).
