Accumulator battery

Battery - a device for storing energy in chemical form which can then be used as electricity.

Rechargeable battery operated because two different metals, being in an acid solution, a potential difference, whereby the electric current.

Part of the original equipment battery is a standard that does not require maintenance battery with a voltage of 12 V and a capacity of 48 Ah (a 5-hour mode).
A warning

In normal operation, the battery releases hydrogen gas and oxygen. This gas mixture could explode if the battery is near an open flame, spark or a lit cigarette. When charging or using the battery in an enclosed space, always provide ventilation, cover your face and protect your eyes.

Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Batteries contain sulfuric acid. Avoid its contact with skin or eyes. In addition, when working near the battery to protect the eyes from possible splashing of acid solution, use the shield. In the case of acid contact with skin, eyes or clothing, immediately flush with water for 15 minutes and immediately seek medical attention. If swallowed acid consult a doctor immediately.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the tightness of the connection terminals to ensure good electrical contact.
2. Check for corrosion or worn wires connected to the battery.
3. Check the status of contacts and, if necessary, apply a lubricant.
4. Check that the rubber protective cover on the positive terminal completely covered it.

Check the electrolyte level

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the electrolyte level, which should be between labels "UPPER LEVEL" and "LOWER LEVEL", located on the body of the battery.
2. If the level is below the permissible, add distilled water to a label "UPPER LEVEL".

A warning

Do not overfill.

Check the density of the electrolyte

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. hydrometer to measure the density of the electrolyte.

Standard density: 1.280 (at 25 ? C)

2. If the density is equal to or less than desired, recharge the battery.

Fast battery charging

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the battery from the vehicle and remove the plug from the battery cans.

A warning

Before maintenance or recharging the battery, recharging, turn off all consumers and stop the engine.

Negative wire must be disconnected first, and connect the last.

If the accelerated battery charging high current, install the battery in a container with water in order to avoid overheating.
