Not working speedometer or incorrect readings
Step 1
PERFORMANCE ORDER | Check the connection of the measuring unit and speed sensor connector. |
| Step 2: Check the speed sensor
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. In the engine compartment, disconnect the connector from the speed sensor mounted on the driven gear transmission. | 2. Remove the speed sensor. | 3. Connect the output speed sensor 1 to the positive () battery terminal, and the output of the sensor 2 - to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. | 4. Connect the output speed sensor 2 to the negative (-) terminal of the tester, and the conclusion 3 - to the positive () terminal. | 5. Turn the shaft speed sensor. | | 6. Check the range of the voltage between terminals 3 and 2.
The voltage adjustment range: 0 - 12 | A warning The voltage should be changed 4 times per revolution of the shaft speed sensor. If not, replace the speed sensor.
|
| Step 3: Check the speedometer
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Disconnect the measuring unit. | | 2. Check for continuity between terminals "VO" (orange and blue) and "AS" (Black) speedometer, simultaneously turning the shaft encoder. If one shaft revolution speed sensor 4 pulses is not generated, replace the speedometer. |
| It does not work tachometer
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Remove the instrument cluster. | | 2. Connect the tachometer to conclusions "Af" (white and blue) and "As" (black) terminal of the instrument cluster. | 3. Start up the engine. | 4. Check whether the tachometer shows the engine speed.
Result | Act | Yes | Replace the tachometer | No | Repair the wiring (instrument cluster in the area - the tachometer) |
|
| Not working coolant temperature
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Unplug the connector from the coolant. | | 2. Connect the red wire of the special tool to the connector, and the black wire attached to the housing. | 3. Change the resistance of the special tool, equal to the specified coolant temperature sensor. | 4. Turn on the ignition and check the readings.
Result | Act | Yes | Replace the sensor | No | See. Step 7. |
| A warning For the correct determination of malfunction continue the above test for at least 2 minutes. The margin of error is equal to twice the thickness of the arrow pointer.
| | | 5. Remove the instrument cluster. | 6. Apply power to the positive () battery for withdrawal "Bn" connector and pin "AS" attached to the housing. | | 7. Connect the red wire of the special tool to a conclusion "Bd", and the black wire - to the negative pole of the battery. | 8. Set the resistance of the special tool. | 9. Check that the reading pointer. | |
| Check the coolant temperature sensor
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Remove the sensor. | | 2. Place the sensor in a container of water. | 3. Measure the resistance gradually heating the water. | 4. If resistance differs from specified, replace the sensor. Resistance: 190-260 Ohm at 50 ? C |
| It does not work the fuel gauge
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Unplug the connector from the fuel gauge. | | 2. Connect the red wire of the special tool to the conclusion that the yellow-green wire and the black wire is connected to "weight". | 3. Change the resistance of the special tool.
| | 6. Apply a voltage of 12 V at output "Bn" connector, and concluded "As" attached to the housing. | 7. Connect the red wire of the special tool to a conclusion, "VR" and the black wire - to the negative pole of the battery. | 8. Set the resistance of the special tool. | 9. Check that the reading pointer.
Result | Act | Correctly | Replace the (at the site of a combination of devices - Sensor fuel level indicator) | Wrong | The fuel gauge |
| A warning For the correct determination of malfunction continue the above test for at least 2 minutes. The margin of error is equal to twice the thickness of the arrow pointer.
|
| Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Remove the fuel level sensor. | 2. Unplug the connector from the sensor node level. | | 3. Measure the resistance by slowly moving the float from point "F" to the point "E". |
| Brake System Warning Light
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Unplug the connector from the brake fluid level. | 2. Connect the red and white terminals and the black wires connecting wire. | | 3. Start the engine and check that the warning lamp lights up the brake system. | A warning Before testing, make sure the parking brake is fully off.
| 4. If the lamp is not lit, check the fuse, lamp and wiring. |
| Brake fluid level
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Connect ohmmeter to jack the brake fluid level. | 2. Check the conductivity according to the amount of brake fluid. | | 3. The sensor is serviceable, if the conductivity is, when the liquid level is below the "MIN", and absent when the liquid level is above the "MAX". | 4. If the sensor did not pass this test, replace it. |
| Control lamp of level of fuel
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Unplug the connector from the fuel level sensor. | 2. Connect the output of the red and white wires on the connector to the housing. | | 3. Start the engine and check that the warning lamp lights up. | 4. If the lamp is not lit, check the fuse, lamp and wiring. |
| Charging control lamp
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Start the engine and connect the white and the black wire to the body. | 2. Make sure that the warning lamp lights up. | 3. If the lamp is not lit, check the warning lamp, wiring and alternator. | | 4. If necessary, repair or replace. | |
