Generator

1 - the screw-head wrench;
2 - a pulley;
3 - the front cover;
4 - rotor;
5 - rear cover;
6 - a stator;
7 - rectifier;
8 - brush holder assembly;
9 - bearing.

The generator produces an output current of 80 A and has a built-in electronic voltage regulator. Mounted on the front of the engine and is driven by a belt with four fins, which operates with a thermostat and a fan.

With the generator has three terminals, by which it is connected to the electrical system of the vehicle. Terminal B (battery) is located on the rear side of the generator, and terminals (L) (lamps) and (S) (sensors) are arranged on the side surface.

Terminals L and S are labeled on the housing of the generator.

Refitting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the nut from the terminal B.
3. Remove the wire from terminal B.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the generator.
5. Turn the adjusting bolt.
6. Remove the bolt of the generator.
7. Remove the drive belt from the alternator pulley.
8. Remove the generator from the car.
9. Install in the reverse order of removal.

10. Adjust the belt tension with V-shaped ridges.

Deflection of a belt drive of the generator engine FE DOHC
New: 6.0-8.0 mm
Second hand: 7.0-9.0 mm
Deflection of a belt drive of the generator engine T8 DOHC
New: 8.0-9.0 mm
Second hand: 9,0-10,1 mm

Torque
A bolt: 19-26 Nm
Bolt Q: 38-53 Nm

A warning

Make sure the battery cables are correctly connected.

Do not use high-voltage devices, such as a megohmmeter to check for resistance.

Remember that the battery voltage is always applied to the terminals of the alternator.

Do not connect to "weight" contact L for the engine.

Do not start the engine, while the contacts L and S are disconnected from the generator.
