Checking and topping up the oil in the air conditioning compressor



PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Stop the engine, discharge air conditioning system and remove the air conditioning compressor.
2. Drain the oil from the compressor.
3. Measure the amount of oil drained. If it is less than 70 cm 3, so there is a slight leakage. Locate the leak and repair or replace defective parts.

4. Check the degree of contamination of oil and pour it in the following order:

- If the oil is clean:

Discharge
Filling
About 70 cm 3 The oil level is normal. Add the same amount of oil as was drained during discharging.
Less than 70 cm 3 The oil level is below normal. Add 70 cm 3 of oil.

- If the oil is contaminated with metal particles, clean the dryer / receiver after charging refrigerant.
