Check and adjust wheel alignment
Preliminary checks
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Check the tire pressure and, if necessary, bring to the required level. | 2. Check the bearing play of the front wheels and, if necessary, replace them. | 3. Check the runout of tires and wheels. | 4. Check the backlash ball joint front suspension and steering gear. | 5. The vehicle must be on a flat surface without passengers and cargo in the trunk. | 6. Shake the body of the car to check the effect of the shock absorbers. | 7. The difference in height between the left and right side of the vehicle from the wheel center to the edge of the wing must not exceed 10 mm. | 8. Check that the fuel tank is full, levels of coolant and engine oil in health and spare tire and tools are in place. |
|
Check of the maximum steering angle of front wheels PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Install both front wheels into the template turning radius. | 2. Turn the front wheel to the left until it stops and measure the angle of rotation of the left (inner) and right (the outside) of the wheels. | 3. Loosen the lock nut left and right tips of steering drafts, then rotate the rod, set the desired angle. Tighten the lock nut. | | 4. Repeat the operation after turning the front wheels to the right. | 5. Tighten locknut tips of steering drafts.
Torque: 34-50 N ??? m | | 6. Check and, if necessary, adjust the convergence, after checking and adjusting the maximum angle of rotation of the front wheels. |
|
The collapse of the angle Caster front wheels PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. At a special stand and check the camber angle Caster. | 2. If the angle is not correct, lift the front of the car and fix on supports. | | 3. Remove the four screws fastening the upper strut front suspension. | Additional Terms | Changing the position of the starting position | Camber | Caster Angle | A | 0 ? | 32 '24 " | B | 11 '35 " | 32 '24 " | C | 11 '35 " | 0 ? |
| | 4. Press down the upper strut front suspension to release the sleeves and turn the sleeve to a position that corresponds to the difference between the measured angle and the desired value. | 5. Tighten the upper mounting of the front axle torque.
Torque: 23-29 N ??? m | | 6. Lower the car and check the angles of camber and caster. If necessary, adjust the angles. |
|
The convergence of the front wheels Adjustment of a convergence of back wheels A warning The collapse of the rear wheel is not adjustable. PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Check that the fuel tank is full, levels of coolant and engine oil in health and spare tire and tools are in place. The vehicle must be on a flat horizontal surface. | 2. At a special stand check the toe of the rear wheels. | 3. If the convergence does not correspond to the desired value, loosen the lock nut on the rear of the transverse rod. | 4. Turn the knob on the thrust, adjust the convergence of the corresponding rear wheel. | A warning One turn of the knob changes the convergence of 3 mm.
| 5. Repeat for the second adjustment of the rear wheel. | | 6. Tighten the lock nut torque.
Torque: 116-157 N ??? m |
