Checking the ignition timing

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Apply the parking brake. 2. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature. 3. Turn off all electric power consumers. 4. Check idle speed

Connect the inductive tachometer to the spark plug of the first cylinder or connect the tach wire to the terminal 3 of the diagnostic connector (DLC). A warning The idle speed is not regulated and supported by an electronic control unit of the engine. Change the idle speed may be caused by irregularities in the operation of the valve control system of frequency of rotation of idling (IAC) or leaks in the intake manifold. 5. When the gear lever in neutral position, measure the idle speed. The idle speed: 800 ?� 50 min -1 6.
