Maintenance-free gear change mechanism. It shows a switching mechanism of a vehicle with front wheel drive.

On models with four-wheel drive conventional rod switch replaced two cables. This has the advantage that it requires less space. When the gear there is a difference between the transverse movement (movement of choice) in the idle position and the actual shift. Both movements are transmitted through the corresponding traction gearbox.
