Dismantling the cylinder head (beginning)

Loosen the bolts stars camshafts (see. Fig. 2.120) (bolt mechanism variable valve timing), as shown in Figure 2.121.
Remove the camshaft sprocket. The actuator of variable valve timing (L3 with variable valve timing mechanism).
Remove the control oil valve (OCV) (L3 with variable valve timing mechanism).

Remove the camshaft bearing caps by loosening the bolts in three steps in the order shown in Figure 2.122.

NOTE
Before removing the camshaft bearing caps, check the axial clearance of the camshaft and camshaft bearing clearances (see. Below). Camshaft bearing caps are numbered to ensure correct assembly. After removal, keep the lid together with the cylinder head, from which they were taken. Do not mix the caps.

Remove the camshafts.
Snimte valve lifters.

NOTE
Valve tappets are numbered to ensure correct assembly. After removing the hold tappets with the cylinder head, from which they were taken. Do not mix the tappets.

Loosen the bolts of the cylinder head in two or three steps in the order shown in Figure 2.123.
