Fault diagnosis of diesel engine power



To the following table could be localized defects, you must satisfy the following conditions: there should be no errors at engine start. Fuel tank, in the order of the engine mechanically, the battery is charged, the starter is rotated with the desired speed.


A warning

Before removing the fuel hoses and pipes them to be cleaned with cold cleaner.


CAUSE
SOLUTION
The engine does not start, runs poorly
It does not work preheating Check the pre-heating.
No voltage is applied to the fuel shut-off valve Connect the voltage probe to the valve, switch on the ignition. The LED should light up, otherwise, find and correct the broken wire.
Defective fuel shut-off valve Check for loose connections and the mass fuel shut-off valve. Turn on and turn off the ignition, and the need to be heard clicks of the valve.
Failure in the fuel system Check the fuel supply. Clean fuel pipelines. Replace the fuel filter. Clean.
Defective injectors Check the injectors consistently weakening union nut and check whether the cylinders.
Defective high pressure fuel pump For the sample install a known good pump.
The engine is not exactly idling, at the beginning of movement No fixed fuel lines to the fuel pump or fuel filter. Replace the fuel hoses and tighten clamps, hollow screws.
Excessive consumption
Dirty air filter Replace the air filter element.
Leaks in fuel system Visually inspect all of the fuel pipe, the fuel filter and the high pressure fuel pump.
Clogged fuel return pipe Purge air return pipe in the direction of the fuel injection pump to the fuel tank. Replace the throttle overflow in the hollow screw tube of return of fuel.
Increased idle speed Adjust the idle speed.
No warning lamp preheat
Defect warning lamp on the instrument panel Replace the lamp.
Defective glow Check the spark plugs.
No warning lamp pre-heat, cold bad run
The defect of one or more glow plugs
Check and possibly replace the spark plugs.
