Air valve
Location of the air valve of system of idling (model with a 4-cylinder engine) Location of the air valve of system of idling (model with a 6-cylinder engine) The air valve controls the flow of air into the engine idling adjusting thus the idle speed. Check PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Attach the tachometer. Start the engine and raise the number of turns to 3000. Wait join radiator cooling fan and measure the speed of the engine at idle (all electric vehicle must be turned off). If the idle speed is too low, disconnect the connector connecting the air valve. The speed of the motor should begin to fluctuate after disconnecting the connection of the valve. If not, probably faulty valve. | 2. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the valve. It should be 7,7-9,3 Ohm (models with four-cylinder engine), 10,7-12,3 Ohm (models with six-cylinder engine 1993-1997 of release) or 8,7-10,5 Ohm (models with six-cylinder engine 1998 release). Replace the valve if necessary. |

Replacement PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Disconnect the connection of the valve, unscrew the screws and remove the valve. | 2. Installation is spent upside-down removals. Replace the O-ring of the valve. |
