Inlet air temperature sensor

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The supply air temperature sensor is a thermistor, ie, its resistance decreases with increasing temperature sensor.
Models with 4-cylinder engine and a pattern with a 6-cylinder engine 1998 release
2. Check that the sensor resistance at room temperature is about 35,5-39,2 kW. Heat the sensor to a temperature of 60 ? C and check that the resistance is reduced to 7-8 ohms. Replace the sensor if it is faulty.
Models with 6-cylinder engine 1993 - 1997 Release
3. Check that the sensor resistance at room temperature is about 2-3 ohms. Heat the sensor to a temperature of 60 ? C and check that the resistance is reduced to 400-700 ohms. Replace the sensor if it is faulty.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Models with 4-cylinder engine and a pattern with a 6-cylinder engine 1998 release
2. Disconnect the connection of the sensor and remove the sensor from the air filter housing.
3. Installation is spent upside-down removals.
Models with 6-cylinder engine model years 1993 -1997
4. The temperature sensor is part of the air flow sensor is only replaced with the air flow sensor.
