Oxygen sensor

Oxygen sensor checks the content of oxygen in the exhaust gases. Based on information from the oxygen sensor electronic control unit regulates the composition of the fuel mixture.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To check the primary sensor (located upstream of the catalytic converter), connect the positive lead of the voltmeter to the sensor signal terminal, and the negative probe - to terminal "masses." 2. Start the engine and check that the voltage between terminals is 0.1-0.2 volts when the engine is cold (engine running in open mode). After about two minutes of the engine and oxygen sensor must be warm and the voltage should start to fluctuate between 0.1-0.9 volts (ECU went into a closed mode). 3. Check that the resistance of the heating element sensor is 10-40 ohms. Check the power supply to the heating element. 4. Replace the oxygen sensor if it is defective.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the sensor connection and carefully remove the sensor. 2. Lubricate the new sensor before installing the anticorrosive composition. Installation is spent upside-down removals.
