The rear axle of the Mercedes is a lever system with rear wheel drive and independent wheel suspension. Elastic suspension elements are coil springs and gas-filled shock absorbers. In the center is the drive of the rear axle. It is connected to the carrier axle beam three rubber bearings. The beam is attached to the base plate of the body with four rubber feet. The hydraulic damping some of these rubber support improved comfort in respect of noise and wobble as compared to conventional supports. On both sides of the bridge girders elastically mounted on rails 5 and the support arm (wishbone, pull, push rod, strut camber and toe thrust). After the rubber feet are fixed leverage its other side to the wheel hub. Springs and shock absorbers operate between the lever and suspension base plate body. Shock is close to the hub and separately from the spring. As extra equipment on the car can stand control clearance. Instead, the gas-filled shock absorbers in this case, put the hydraulic damper struts, in which, starting with a certain load is automatically pumped oil, so they took over some of the car's weight. With this at any load on the rear axle guarantees the full spring travel, as well as an adequate ground clearance. Mounted stand in firm workshops.
