Clutch Repairs

In general, a simple and robust design of the clutch is for self repairs flaw clutch disc is not available without prior disassembly operations. In particular, it is necessary to disconnect the gearbox from the engine and remove it downwards. This operation requires special knowledge and tools, so replacement parts clutch is best left to the workshop.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
Stir with a faulty clutch
.
If the clutch fails on the road, for example, do not turn on or off, it is in compliance with the following rules, you can continue and get to the near target or the nearest service station. If you carefully work the accelerator pedal and the lever gearbox, you can even switch on upshifts and downshifts.
Turning off the transmission. To do this, remove the "gas" and move the lever gearbox in neutral. If the transmission seizes, it should add a little "gas".
Start. Before starting the engine warm, so he could not immediately stall. Turn off the engine and turn on the 1st gear. Turn the starter. Your car will get under way from a place, but will move in spurts as long as the engine speed is equal to the speed gearbox. If you are not going to change gears while driving on level ground, you can start the described method with the 2nd gear.
Upshift. In 1st gear, gently press the accelerator pedal to the engine speed was just over idling (about 1000 min -1). Then a little relieve "gas" and move the shift lever to the neutral position. (If the transmission seizes, add a little "gas"). Now release the accelerator pedal and carefully set the gearshift lever to position the 2nd gear. At equal engine speed gearbox and 2nd gear should turn almost on their own.
If you missed the shift points, again, add a little "gas" to be able to engage the gear.
If you did not work, stop and try all over again.
Upshift only at low speeds: 2 nd - at about 20 km / h on the third - at 30 km / h on the 4th - at 40 km / h on the 5th - with 50 km / h.
Switching to a lower gear is better to produce at low engine speeds and at low speeds.
1. First, a little relieve "gas" and turn off the transmission.
2. Lightly press the accelerator pedal to increase engine RPM. At the same time move the gearshift lever in the position of the next lower gear. If the engine is running at the right speed, gear engaged with virtually no effort.
