Visual inspection of the clutch

1. Inspect the master cylinder (with the clutch pedal) and the working cylinder (on the gearbox) for signs of leakage of brake fluid. These marks on the working cylinder (arrow) (Fig. 6.3) indicate a problem with the hydraulic drive system. 2. When a brake fluid drips on the working cylinder carefully wipe them later to determine the origin. After a trip to find out exactly where the fluid flows. 3. If leaking clutch cylinders themselves, they must be replaced.
