Removing and installing crankshaft sprocket

Removing and installing crankshaft sprocket must be performed in the following order:
- It removes all or parts of impeding access to the end part of the engine;

The mechanism of the camshaft drive assembly
Fig. 96. The mechanism of the camshaft drive assembly: 1 - the crankshaft sprocket; 2 - tensioning shoe chain; 3 - chain tensioner; 4 - star camshaft drive; 5 - pacifier chain; 6 - sprocket drive of the fuel pump; 7 - pacifier chain; 8 - the lever of the chain tensioning drive of the oil pump; 9 - the oil pump drive sprocket

Removing the tensioner arm
Fig. 105. Removing the tension lever

- Remove the mounting tension lever with a pressure shoe chains drive the oil pump according to the description contained in the previous section, and remove the lever 8, as shown in Fig. 96 (see. Also Fig. 105);
- Unscrew the bolt oil pump drive sprocket and remove the asterisk from the shaft, at the same time removing the drive chain from the crankshaft sprocket;
- Position Stars camshaft drive and the drive of the oil pump must be appropriately marked on the crankshaft so that in a subsequent set of assembly to its original position;

Labels on the drive sprocket and the camshaft drive chain
Fig. 99. Marks on the drive sprocket and the camshaft drive chain

- Apply paint marks on the camshaft sprocket and a camshaft drive chain, as shown in Fig. 99;
- To remove an asterisk from a camshaft, thus loosening the tension of the drive chain;
- Remove the sprocket from the crankshaft using a suitable puller;
- Check the condition of the crankshaft the dowels (asterisk key, and pulley), in the presence of wear tracks replace them with new ones;
- If you need to replace the crankshaft sprocket, to be copied from the old label to the new stars, noting paint corresponding tooth on its keyway.
Installation of the sprocket to the crankshaft must be made in the following order:
- Insert the new key into the bearings of the crankshaft. Both surfaces should be parallel to the axis of the crankshaft;
- With a suitable mandrel Press on a star on the crankshaft flange. Check the correct fit dowels;
- Install the sprocket and chain camshaft drive. Pay attention to the markings made before dismantling the paint;
- Crank the engine several times, paying attention to the label on the upper side of the camshaft (see. Fig. 99);

Setting an asterisk on the oil pump shaft
Fig. 107. Installation of the sprocket to oil pump shaft

- Replace the oil pump sprocket. In the oil pump sprocket hub provided with special planting edge, corresponding to the shaft hole of the oil pump, as shown in Fig. 107;

The correct position of the tensioning lever of the chain oil pump with pressure shoe
Fig. 106. The correct position of the tensioning lever of the chain oil pump with pressure shoe

- Set the tension lever to the pressure shoe chain oil pump drive (see. Fig. 106);
- Attach the cover of the drive camshaft (Sect. 2.5);
- Install in reverse order of removal.
