The system automatically adjusting the position of the body

Some car models are equipped with automatic control of the position of the body, which with the help of hydraulic system adjusts the height of the rear suspension stroke. The system has two telescopic racks which are installed instead of the rear shock absorbers, and each connected to a separate pressure accumulator. The pressurized fluid is pumped mounted on the engine, and the height of the rear suspension travel is governed by a proofreader associated with the anti-roll bar. Each battery has a gas pressure chamber, maintains the necessary pressure for deviations suspension.

On engines of model M hydraulic pump 110 driven by the front end of the exhaust camshaft, and on engine models M 123 - from the front end of the intermediate shaft. In the case of system failure it should be checked representative of the company Mercedes, because it requires special equipment.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. For the filling system fill fluid to the reservoir to the maximum level, and then run the engine at high idle for about 1 minute. At the same time the rear part of the car must be loaded weight of two passengers in the back seat or cargo of the same weight in the trunk. Stop the engine and add fluid to the reservoir. When fully loaded the car and the engine running, its level will drop to the bottom mark.
  2. Removing and installing parts of the system do not pose particular difficulties, but any height adjustment of stroke must be made by the representative of the company Mercedes.
