Removal and installation of the top chain guide



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Set the first cylinder to TDC, refer to Section Installation of the piston of the first cylinder to TDC.
2. Remove the top cover of the engine, refer to the appropriate section.
3. Remove the chain tensioner, refer to the appropriate section.
4. Remove the front cover, refer to the appropriate section.
5. Secure the intake camshaft. By inserting the locking pin through the cover of the first camshaft bearing hole in the camshaft sprocket.
6. Disconnect the lead inlet camshaft. At the same time hold the shaft from turning a wrench.
7. Remove the top guide.


Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Place the upper guide.
2. Attach the leash to the inlet camshaft torque 50 nm. At the same time hold the shaft from turning a wrench.
3. Remove the locking pin from the opening camshaft bearing cap and the inlet camshaft sprocket.
4. Install the front cover, refer to the appropriate section.
5. Install the chain tensioner with a new gasket, refer to the appropriate section.
6. Set the engine covers, refer to the appropriate section.
