Removing and Replacing the Front Cover



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Remove the chain tensioner.
3. Remove the fuel pump.
4. Remove the front cover.
5. Lift the top of the guide stopper. The upper guide is not removed.
6. Remove the front cover forward.


Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Clean the mating surfaces on the front cover and the surrounding area.

2. Apply a bead thickness of 1.5 ?� 0.5 mm sealant (1) as shown in the illustration. The sealant can be used as Loctite-5900.

3. Install front cover (2) and fix it with torque 14Nm. This fix is also the holder of the electric wires off valve.

Fasten the lid for 10 minutes after applying the sealant. Sealant is not smeared.

4. Install the pre-pump fuel supply.
5. Install the chain tensioner with a new seal.
6. Install the cylinder head cover.
