Checking the condition of tires and pressure of their rating

Tires and wheels suitable for use on the car are listed in the Specifications. Tire inflation pressure specified on the nameplate attached to the B-pillar on the driver side.

At a sports manner of driving it is recommended to increase tire pressure by 0.3 bar, based on the basic values for the various loading conditions.

Winter tires, usually have a pressure of 0.2 atm higher than summer. It should take into account the recommendations of manufacturers of winter tires, and also remember such tires have a speed limit.

Regular inspection of the tires to avoid the troubles connected with stops along the way because of a flat tire. In addition, such tests provide valuable information about possible problems with steering and suspension until them serious damage.

Applied on the affected vehicles are equipped with built-in tire tread wear indicator bars, which are exposed at lower tread depth to 1.6 mm. When the indicator of the tire is worn out. In most cases, it is recommended to replace the tire tread depth is less than 2 mm. Tread depth can also be determined by a simple and inexpensive device, known as a tread depth gauge.

Pay attention to any unusual deterioration of protectors. Such defects protector as cavities, convexity flattening and stronger deterioration on the one hand indicate a violation of the wheels and / or wheel balancing. At revealing any of the following defects should seek to resolve them in a fitting center.

Examples of possible causes and tire wear

Carefully check the tires for cuts, punctures and got stuck nails or buttons. Sometimes, after a puncture nail it still some time holds pressure or lowers very slowly. If you suspect the presence of such "slow puncture", first check the tightness of the pump wheel pin. Then inspect the tread for the presence of foreign objects stuck or eliminated earlier puncture, start again to pass air. Ensure the presence of a puncture can moisten the suspected site with soap and water. If you have a puncture solution begins to bubble. If the puncture is not too great, the tire can be repaired in any tire shop.

Carefully examine internal lateral surfaces of tires on presence on them of signs of leak of brake fluid. If any, immediately check the brake system.

Maintaining proper tire pressure increases their service life, saves fuel and improves the overall ride comfort. To check the pressure gauge is needed.

Always check the pressure on cold tires (ie, before traveling by car). If you check the pressure in the tires warm or heated, it will lead to an overestimation of the pressure gauge because of the thermal expansion of tires. In this case, the pressure should not be lower, because After cooling, the tire it will be below normal.

To check the tire inflation pressure, remove the protective cap from the pin, and then firmly press the nozzle of the pump to the valve and read pressure gauge reading device - it must comply with the specifications (see chap. Suspension and steering). Do not forget to replace the cap to prevent nipple in dirt and moisture. Check the pressure in all tires, not forgetting the spare wheel and, if necessary disappoint them.

At strongly expressed deterioration of the front wheels is recommended to swap them to the rear wheels.
