General information and safety measures

general information

The front wheels are covered in this manual cars are equipped with disc brakes. Brake discs ventilated. On the rear axle mounted drum brakes. Staffing installed anti-lock braking system (ABS). Instead of a mechanical spreader uses an electronic braking force distributor (EBD), working on the basis of ABS.

Driving hydraulic circuit auxiliary systems

1 - Feeding e / m valves
2 - Vents e / m valves
3 - Reservoir
4 - Pump
5 - E / motor

6 - supply valve
7 - Valves Vents
8 - The bypass control valve
9 - Dampers

Location of components of auxiliary systems

The brake system is divided by a diagonal pattern on two independent hydraulic circuits and consists of a master cylinder (GTZ), and the servo brake. When one of the circuits (eg, as a result of violations of seal), the second continues to operate as normal, providing adequate braking of the car. The fluid pressure in both circuits have created the tandem master cylinder design (GTZ). Activation occurs when the GTZ squeezing brake pedal.

Brake fluid reservoir is fixed to the GTZ. Power Brakes accumulates part of the vacuum created in the intake manifold of the engine.

The parking brake with hand lever drive acts via cables to the shoe assembly belonging to the rear brakes.

Bleeding and check the brake system, brake fluid replacement and adjustment of the brake pedal and parking brake lever are described in Chapter Settings and maintenance of the car.

security measures

Brake fluid is among the highly toxic and chemically aggressive compounds, and in contact with the body panels destroys paint.

The dust generated during the brake pad wear, may contain harmful to human health asbestos - in any case, do not inhale it when cleaning the brake!

Work on the brake system requires a high purity and precision of instructions. In the absence of the necessary experience it is advisable to contact the service station.

When driving on wet roads should periodically press the brake pedal to remove moisture from the brake discs; During wheel rotation moisture centrifugally discharged from the brake discs, but leave a film of silicone rubber attrition, grease and other contaminants that reduce braking performance!

Corroded disc brakes provide braking effect of shaking, do not disappear with time. In this case, replace the disks.

Dirt sticking to the surface of the brake pad results in the formation of furrows on the surface of the brake disk, leading to a decrease in braking efficiency.
