Service assembly clutch and clutch mechanism

To perform the procedures described below need a tool for centering the slave drive (for installation of coupling) and a stripper or a hammer with sliding brisk (to replace the guide bushing bearing).

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the transmission from the vehicle.
  2. Pull the inner end of the release lever, remove the lever with a spherical support, then remove it with a rubber protective cover and the bearing from the clutch housing.
  3. Release the clip and remove release bearing assembly holder with the clutch lever.
  4. Loosen the clamp and remove the rubber cover from the lever off (the components of the clutch mechanism shown in the accompanying illustration).
1 - bearing
2 - Clip
3 - the lever
4 - Case
5 - clamp
  1. Secure the pusher in the clutch slave cylinder to prevent ejection of the cylinder piston.
  2. Mark the position of the clutch relative to the flywheel (in the assembly it must be observed).
  3. Gradually loosen the securing bolts and remove assemblage of the basket and the clutch disc from the flywheel (the internal components of the clutch shown in an accompanying illustration).
1 - a flywheel
2 - driven shaft
3 - clutch basket
4 - Bolts

Checking the status of components

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Inspect the surface of the friction linings clutch disc. In case of signs of wear, zapolirovat polished areas or traces of oil contamination, replace the clutch disc.
  2. If the disc is recognized as suitable for further use in any case, do not allow contamination with oil, grease, cleaning or hydraulic fluid, etc.

When worn friction linings to a height of 0.3 over heads of rivets driven plate must be replaced. In the case of traces of oil on the disk is necessary to identify and eliminate the source of the leak.

  1. Make sure of reliability of landing in the slave drive its hub. Check the condition of the damper springs.
  2. Check the condition of the components clutch. Estimate degree of deterioration of petals of the diaphragm spring pressure plate, make sure there are no cracks in them. Housing basket check for signs of strain. Small defects can be repaired with fine emery paper.
  3. Inspect the surface of the flywheel on presence of cracks caused by overheating, traces of erosion, scratching and scuffing. Light defects repaired with fine emery paper.

Heavily damaged flywheel must be replaced.

  1. Check the guide bearing sleeve on the end of the crankshaft for signs of wear or damage. If necessary, remove the sleeve by means of a stripper or a hammer with sliding brisk and install in its place a new one (with a special tool with a stepped mandrel). When properly installed, the sleeve should protrude from the end of the crankshaft by 5.8 mm.
  2. Check the condition of the clutch lever, mounting clamps and spherical bearings. If signs of excessive wear or fatigue data replace defective components.
  3. Check the functioning of the release bearing (the bearing should rotate freely and quietly). Removing the bearing from the holder must only be replaced. Install the new bearing is made by pressing of the inner cage.
  4. Replace any defective parts.

During cleaning, component clutch release bearing is not immersed in the cleaning liquid. Bearings packed with grease at the factory and does not require additional lubrication.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Moderately grease the input shaft splines pins transmission molybdenum disulfide grease on lithium basis. If you install a new clutch disc, check the freedom of movement of its splined input shaft pins. Remove the new drive from the shaft and remove the components (pivot shaft and the hub disc) excess grease.
  1. Place the clutch disc on the flywheel damper springs protruding sections towards the clutch. Secure drive in installation position with special centering tool (a suitable tool can be made from a length of a piece of wood or metal rod of circular cross section - see. Accompanying illustration - size A = ø centering neck primary shaft, B = ø internal hub drive plate).
  1. If the clutch basket has not changed, achieve combination caused during the dismantling of the landing labels.
  1. Screw bolts basket to a flywheel. Tighten the bolts in diagonal order evenly in several stages to the required torque. Installed on the flywheel clutch assembly is shown in the accompanying illustration.

To avoid damaging the bolts fastening the basket, before proceeding to their tightening make sure that all of them are screwed. Tightening produce according to the above instructions in this section.

  1. Remove centering tool from the nave of a conducted disk.
  2. Moderately lubricate the clutch lever end and spherical bearings with grease molybdenum disulfide lithium base.
  3. A small amount of the same greasing grease the contact points of the release bearing and tamp indentation in the socket holder.
  4. Put the lever off the rubber protective cover.
  5. Attach the release bearing assembly with a holder for the clutch lever and install the retaining clip.
  1. Start the assembly arm bearing in the clutch housing, making sure that the retaining clip snaps securely onto a spherical support of the lever (installed in the clutch housing off mechanism is shown in an accompanying illustration). Also check the reliability of the fastening clamp protective cover. Joint cover the surface of the clutch housing promazhte silicone sealant.
  1. Loosen the clutch slave cylinder pushrod.
  2. Install the transmission to the vehicle.
  3. Check the adjustment of the height and position of the freewheel clutch pedal, if necessary, make adjustments.
