Schedule routine maintenance of the car



We offer our readers routine maintenance schedule applies to vehicles operated under normal conditions. When operating the vehicle in either of the following conditions maintenance intervals should be reduced by at least 5%:

  1. Towing a trailer or carrying a heavy load;
  2. Operating in a dusty, dirt and corrosive environments;
  3. Frequent trips to the cold season on the distance does not exceed 8 km;
  4. The frequent long trips with low-speed movement or with long periods of engine idling.

Every week or every 1000 km run (during each refueling vehicle fuel)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check motor oil level. If necessary, add.
  2. Check the coolant level. If necessary, add.
  3. Check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. If necessary, add.
  4. Check the fluid level of steering hydrostrengthening. If necessary, add.
  5. Check the fluid level GTZ. If necessary, add.
  6. Check electrolyte level in battery (not less than once a month). If necessary, add distilled water.
  7. Check and adjust the tire inflation pressure (in cold wheels). At the same time it makes sense to visually assess the degree of wear of the tread, and the presence of a foreign object stuck. Diagram assessment of the tire is shown in the section on troubleshooting tires.

Every 6 months or every 10 000 km

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Replace motor oil and oil filter.
  2. Check the condition of the components of the exhaust system.
  3. Check the condition of the air filter element. If necessary, clean element, or carry out replacement.
  4. Check the clutch pedal free wheeling. If necessary, make adjustments. Check the condition and operation of the clutch.
  5. Check hydraulic clutch system for signs of leakage and fracture lines as a result of aging of the material.
  6. Check the oil level in the transmission and transfer case.
  7. Check the oil level in the differentials in both axles.
  8. Evaluate the degree of wear of frogs driveshafts, manufactures packing joints lubricated.
  9. Inspect the ball joints of the drive rod steering, manufactures packing them with grease.
  10. Check the power steering hydraulic system for signs of leakage hoses and destruction as a result of the aging of the material.
  11. Check the condition of the brake pads, discs, calipers and hydraulic lines. Check the hydraulic system for any signs of leaks.
  12. Check serviceability of functioning of the foot and parking brakes.
  13. Check up serviceability of functioning of all the on-board electrical equipment, including the horn, lights, windscreen wipers and washers. Lubricate hinges and locks all the doors.

Once a year or every 20 000 km

PERFORMANCE ORDER

All of the above checks, plus:
  1. Check the condition and tension of belts in the engine compartment. This requires replacement or adjustment of the tension.
  2. On models 4.2 l Check the valve clearances, perform the necessary adjustments.
  3. Check the condition of all hoses cooling systems / heating. Make the necessary replacement.
  4. Check the installation of turns and quality of a mix of idling. If necessary, adjustments are made.
  5. Check serviceability of functioning of the automatic start / choke actuator.
  6. Check the serviceability of the system controlled crankcase ventilation (PCV).
  7. Check serviceability of functioning of the automatic control device for the engine intake air in the air cleaner.
  8. Check the condition of the hubs with switchable drive and wheel bearings of the front wheels. If necessary, they produce a pad with grease.
  9. Inspect the steering damper.
  10. On vehicles equipped with drum brakes, check the condition of the shoes, drums and wheel cylinders. Make the necessary replacement.
  11. Replace the spark plugs.
  12. On models 4.2 l Replace the breaker distributor.
  13. Tighten bolts of fastening elements of the body.
  14. Check the condition and reliability of fastening and serviceability of functioning of the anchors, buckles and return mechanism seat belts. Evaluate the degree of wear seat belts.
  15. Check wheel alignment. If necessary, perform a rotation or wheel balancing.

Every 2 years or every 40 000 km

PERFORMANCE ORDER

All of the above checks, plus:
  1. Empty the cooling system, flush and refill it with fresh coolant.
  2. Replace the air filter element.
  3. Periodically, remove the rubber cover from the dust separator cyclone pre-cleaner and removes the accumulated dust. Every 2 years a mandatory cleaning cyclone dust separator.
  4. Replace the fuel filter.
  5. Check fuel lines and couplings for signs of leaks. Replace defective parts.
  6. Replace the filter PCV.
  7. Check the condition of hoses and compression fittings system EVAP. Replace defective components.
  8. Replace the hydraulic clutch fluid.
  9. On models with Manual transmission Replace transmission oil.
  10. On models with the AT, if the vehicle is stressful conditions (see. The warning at the beginning of Section) Replace ATF.
  11. Change the oil transfer case.
  12. Replace fluid differentials both bridges.
  13. Perform pack wheel bearings and hinges of the front axle drive shafts.
  14. Check the condition of the vacuum hoses and the brake booster check valve.
  15. Check the condition of the wires of explosives, to make the necessary replacement.
