When starting the engine from the auxiliary battery, observe the following precautions: Before connecting the auxiliary battery, make sure the ignition is off. Make sure that all consumers (headlights, heater, wipers, etc.) Are disconnected. Make sure that the rated voltage of the additional battery is the same as that of the battery in your car. If the engine is started up by a battery installed on another car, the car body must not come into contact. Make sure that the check point control lever is in neutral (or in position Park if the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission).
