Final oxidation exhaust system

1. The system further oxidation of the exhaust gases provides a reduction of emissions of hydrocarbons and CO by the injection of filtered air into the exhaust manifold. Final oxidation exhaust system injection engine consists of a solenoid valve cut-off dilution (photo), managed by the processor unit, reed valves with filters, flame arrester and the ejection tube.
Check
2. Check the condition of all hoses inspection.
3. Disconnect the hoses from the ejection tube, idling the engine shut off the phone with your finger. At increase in turns of the tube should be felt increasing vacuum. Otherwise, the tube is damaged or clogged.
4. To check the air filter, remove the flame arrester and the flame arrester disconnect hose. Warm up the engine. Stop fitting arrester finger, finish turns to 3000 rev / min and rapidly release the throttle. At the time of transition to idle should feel a sharp increase in the vacuum. Otherwise, replace the flame arrestor.

Housing reed valve
6. Disconnect the hose from the valve body, remove the screws and remove the case (in the left corner of the engine compartment, see photo).
7. Check the condition of the reed valve. Replace if necessary by prying and pushing of the valve body.
8. Installation is performed in reverse order. Check the installation of the valve (see photo). Attach the hose clamps.
Tube
9. Remove the tube assembly from the valve body by undoing the housing screws, choke on the exhaust manifold (grease penetrant) and the bracket bolt. Disconnect the tubing from the body.
10. Installation is performed in reverse order. Grease fitting composition of tacking thread.
The flame arrestor
11. Remove the air filter and remove the hose from the arrester (photo). Installation is performed in reverse order.
