The accelerator cable



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery.
2. Remove the air filter (see. Subsection 3.1.2).
3. Disconnect the cable from the lever of a drive throttle carburetor.
4. Disconnect the cable housing from the bracket on the carburettor.
5. Loosen the screws and remove the shelf under the dashboard on the driver side.
6. Disconnect the cable from the accelerator pedal.
7. Pull the cable with a cover from the engine compartment.

Install the cable in the reverse order. When installing make sure that the cable is not twisted. Before installing the air filter to adjust the cable.

Adjustment

Adjustment is made with the assistant. Fully squeeze the accelerator pedal. In this position, check whether there is a gap between the lever of a drive throttle carburetor and stop full throttle. The gap should be at least 0.5 mm. Otherwise, you need to adjust the length of the accelerator cable. Depending on the accelerator cable attachment shown in the figure, producing its adjustment. If the shell of a cable attached to the bracket with two nuts, you need to unscrew the nut, move the cable, increasing or decreasing the gap and tighten the nut. If at the end of the sheath has a threaded bushing, which is screwed into the bracket and lock spring washer, it is necessary to remove the washer, adjust the length of the cable by screwing or twisting the sleeve, and install spring washer. Some carburetors have to unscrew a bolt of fastening of a cable of an accelerator lever on the throttle, turn the lever and tighten the bolt.
